Abstract

The creep buckling of orthotropic viscoelastic plates with initial deflections, subjected to axial compressive force, is analyzed. In deriving the associated governing equations, the transverse shear deformation is incorporated. An analytical solution of deflection varying with time is obtained by solving the governing equations and then instantaneous critical loads and durable critical loads are obtained.
