Abstract

This paper focuses on the controllability of a networked system with continuous linear time invariant (LTI) dynamics whose state and input variables are constrained in a polyhedral cone. Under the right invertibility assumption, some necessary and sufficient conditions for controllability are derived. These conditions lie in verification the existence of a series of nontrivial cones, whose dimensions depend only on the number of subsystems which share common transmission zeros. Besides, these cones can be constructed from parameters of each subsystem and the subsystem connection matrix. Those characteristics make them promising in the analysis and synthesis of a large scale networked system.
