Abstract

To improve the quality and reliability of cable harness wiring and assembly in complex electromechanical products, by combining cable harness development process, an integrated method for cable harness wiring design, assembly process planning and assembly process simulation in virtual environment was put forward. The key techniques such as graph based cable harness digital modeling, interactive virtual wiring and assembly process simulation and cable harness kinematic simulation based on inverse-kinematics and energy optimization were illustrated. The developed simulation system was applied locally in aerospace product design process at the present, and cable harness digital sampling and assembly process simulation were realized partially.
