Abstract

For the problem of dynamic mechanical response of the projectile with nose cabin impacting on a hard target, a dynamic mechanical response model was established for a free beam with variable cross-section stiffness under lateral and axial loads. The dynamic response characters were analyzed for the nose-cabin projectile penetrated into hard target, and the influence of the cabin damage on the projectile attitude was gotten. Results show that the normalized length of the cabin, the connection stiffness between the cabin and the projectile, the yield strength of the nose cabin has a positive correlation with the deflection angle of the projectile.
