Abstract

The characterization and calibration of color LCD are important in cross-media color image reproduction. Based on practical measurements, the color character of a LCD is analyzed, and an approximate transform model between RGB space and L* a* b* space of the LCD is established. Starting from this model, an RGB→L*a*b* look up table, a predictive searching- method for L* a* b* to RGB conversion are proposed. The gamut difference between LCD and CRT is also discussed.
