Abstract

In order to solve the problems of long time and low accuracy in scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) image registration, an improved SIFT image registration method based on slope and distance ratio constraints is proposed in this paper. First, the images are registration with SIFT algorithm, and a special type of error match elimination method is given. Then the matching results are screened according to the matching slope, and finally the matching results are purified by the constraint of distance ratio. Experiment results show that the method has good robustness and can reduce the time of matching process effectively in different images.
