Abstract
The prediction and control of plate shape is studied. The predicted models of plate crown, the prediction and feedback models of plate shape are set up on the basis of Ben Cheng's elastic deformation theory by simplifying and discretizing the models. The simulating data of the prediction model are quite close to the measured data. The problem of plate shape control is solved indirectly by rational distribution of drafts in the rolling process. To some degree, this method can compensate for the limitation of lacking the device of plate shape control.
