Abstract

The motion relations between operation components of clutch are analyzed. The proportional solenoid valve-based automatic operation mechanism (hardware) and its automatic control strategy (software) for clutch in vehicle starting process are designed. Then a bench test on the basic performance of automatic operation mechanism for clutch is conducted. Finally the automatic operation mechanism is installed on a North Benz heavy-duty commercial vehicle to replace original pneumatic assisted hydraulic clutch control system and a road test is carried out which verifies its practicality.
