A study of hydraulic free piston engine combustion

Abstract

The study method of combustion process was obtained through series of test the prototype, which for structural features and operating characteristics of hydraulic free piston diesel engine. The analysis method of cylinder pressure and piston displacement data based on time was researched. The calculation method of combustion heat release rate based on time was obtained. Combustion process characteristics were discussed in this movement of the piston. Weber model was modified through experimental research and simulation analysis. The purpose is to make it more suitable hydraulic free piston engine. The results can provide theoretical basis for exploring the combustion characteristics and operation mechanism of hydraulic free piston diesel engine.
