Abstract

This paper is concerned with the formation problem of the multi-agent system (MAS) with time-varying delays and under switching topologies. In practical applications, delays and switching topologies are unavoidable in MAS. In order to address this problem, a proportion-derivative control protocol is proposed, and the formation problem is converted into the stability problem through the system transformation. In the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMI), sufficient conditions for the asymptotical stability and effective formation of MAS are given. Finally, numerical examples are implemented to illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method.
