Abstract

Introduces the modeling system, contents and features of UML (unified modeling language). The paper explains the advantages and applicability in creating the multi-view and visual development system models during the whole software development process supported by UML. Aimed at a small library management system, it creates the static models- use case diagram, package diagram, deployment diagram and the dynamic models state diagram, sequence diagram, and collaboration diagram. Through these, it shows an example in multi-view modeling. It also illuminates the process frame and mechanism of using UML to build an elastic and expandable software development model.
