Abstract
A multiple-receiver space-surface synthetic aperture radar (MRSS-BSAR) system is brought forward to improve azimuth resolution in SS-BSAR. The system is composed of one moving spaceborne illuminator and multiple static receivers. The receivers are arranged along the transmitter's moving direction with equal intervals. The profile in azimuth resolution(AR) direction of the point spread function(PSF) of the MRSS-BSAR is derived and the performance is simulated by back-projection processor(BPP). The MRSS-BSAR is proved to be able to achieve high azimuth resolution and not sensitive to targets' positions.
