A dynamic image understanding system for general roads in Japan using a Fuzzy Knowledge Base (FKB), that mainly employs a fuzzy frame knowledge base with a spool base, has been presented with experimental results. The fuzzy knowledge base enables the presented system to capture a gradually changing cognitive environment.
