Abstract
Extracting insect targets from radar detection results is a key step to obtain real insect migration trajectories, which ensures the reliability of the insect migration mechanism research. In this paper, an insect target recognition method based on micro-Doppler characteristics is proposed. The amplitude Fourier analysis method is used to extract the insect micro-Doppler frequency and the magnitude of micro-Doppler frequency is used to recognize the insect target. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the amplitude Fourier analysis method. Moreover, the effectiveness of the method is also verified through the experimental data based on phased array radar. The experimental results indicate that all the trajectories of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and clutter are eliminated.
