Abstract
The near field effect of triad in radio frequency simulation system (RFSS) for phase comparison mono-pulse radar is overcomed, with the feeding coefficient of the triad being corrected. An equation is given for calculating the practical corrected feeding coefficient through analyzing the equivalence between the field test and the simulation test in anechoic chamber. The equation only depend on the length of the base line of the receiver, but not on the orientation of the base line. The analytical expression of the triad near field error (NFE) is also given, and it is shown that the configuration of the triad is the cause of the anisotropy of the NFE. It is shown that the triad NFE can be divided into two parts according to the spin of the receiver aperture, one is constant, and the other is variable.
