title = "Wideband and Ultrathin Absorber Using Frequency Selective Surfaces",
abstract = "A wideband and ultrathin absorber based on double-layer frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) is proposed in this paper. The unit cell of proposed structure is comprised of two cascaded layers printed folded metal strips loaded with lumped resistors. The structure is rotationally symmetrical and hence becomes polarization-insensitive. The simulation results show that the proposed absorber can provide a 10 dB reduction with a wideband of 6.65GHz over the frequency range of 5.38~12.03 GHz, which is equivalent to a relative bandwidth of 76.4%. In addition, the structure is very thin of 4.4mm, only 0.079λ at lowest frequency.",
