摘要

Polymer-bonded explosives (PBXs) are complex viscoelastic materials exhibiting rate dependent and time dependent mechanical behavior which are largely influenced by the binder. Researching the response of PBXs is critical to developing an accurate constitutive model to address potential survivability, safety issues and design improvements. In this paper, a viscoelastic constitutive model based on actual damage mechanisms has been established to describe both the quasi-static response and dynamic response of polymer-bonded explosives (PBXs), which accounts for complex phenomenology including temperature, strain rate, and aging effects. Quasi-static uniaxial compression and tensile tests and split- Hopkinson pressure bar test have been modeling and simulation to study mechanical responses and damage evolutions of PBXs at different loading conditions.
