Upshift control strategy for dual clutch transmission with single clutch’s slipping

摘要

This paper focuses on the control strategy for the upshifting process of Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). To obtain the weakness of the conventional control strategy, different stages of the upshifting process are analyzed in detail. According to the results, the optimized releasing pressure that changes along with the charging pressure is obtained. Then, the upshift control strategy, characterized by accomplishing the upshift process with single clutch slippage during the torque phase, is proposed. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, the simulation model is established on the Matlab/Simulink platform and simulation results show that, compared with conventional control strategies, the proposed one can not only avoid the torque hole and power circulation, but reduce the friction work. Meanwhile, for different charging pressure profiles and different external loads, the control strategy also performs well.
