abstract = "This paper presents a novel 2 qth-order cumulant based noncircular (NC) MUSIC algorithm for DOA estimation of NC sources. The proposed algorithm provides a complete cumulant operation strategy to jointly utilize difference and sum co-array (DSCA) concept, NC property and non-Gaussian statistical characteristic. Through this strategy, a generalized qth- order DSCA (qDSCA), which consists of arbitrary qth-order difference and sum sets, can be obtained. This novel co-array can have much larger virtual aperture than DSCA. Furthermore, the order of the qDSCA can be easily changed by setting the order of the cumulant operation so that various aperture needs can be met. Simulations results demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.",
