摘要
In this paper, two ways to improve exciplex emission in electroluminescent devices based on N, N′-diphenyl-N, N′-bis (3-methylphenyl)-(1, l′-biphenyl)-4, 4′-diamine (TPD) and 2-(4′-biphenyl)-5- (4″-tert-butylphenyl)-l, 3, 4-oxadiazole (PBD) are presented. Based on exciplex emission of charge carriers at the TPD/PBD interface, we have shown improved exciplex emission from organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) by inserting an incorporated PBD: TPD film between the TPD layer and the PBD layer, or by increasing the number of PBD/TPD interfaces while keeping the whole thickness of the TPD layer and the PBD layer constant in the multi-layer device.
