N2 - This paper proposes distributed geosynchronous synthetic aperture radar (GEO SAR) for three-dimensional (3D) deformation retrieval. The system can provide sufficient observation angles, which can greatly improve the measurement accuracy. We firstly introduce the configuration of distributed GEO SAR. Then, we focus on the 3D deformation retrieval in distributed GEO SAR by multi-angle processing. An optimal multi-angle data selection method based on minimizing position dilution of precision (PDOP) is proposed to obtain optimal 3D deformation retrieval accuracy. Finally, the proposed methods and the theoretical analysis are verified by simulation experiments. 3D deformation retrieval accuracy of centimeter-level can be obtained by selecting optimal multi-angle data.
