Thermal stability of electrodeposited Co-Cr3C2 nano-structured composite coatings

摘要

The thermal stability and grain growth behavior of electrodeposited Co-Cr3C2 nano-structured composite coating were investigated. The fine Cr3C2 particles with mass fraction of 30% were uniformly distributed in the coating. Annealing above 600℃ led to the formation of micro-pores in the coating. Annealing at the temperatures below 400℃ and above 600℃ facilitated the preferential growing of the Co grains along [002] and [220] orientations, respectively. Superior wear resistance and high microhardness were obtained for the coating annealed below 400℃. The coefficient of friction of the coating is lowered to 0.04 after annealing at 200℃, and the value of the friction coefficient is 0.12 after annealing at 400℃.
