摘要
Based on the Alekseevski-Tate model, the present paper analyzes the interface defeat of a long rod in its penetration process, and the corresponding formulae of velocity decay and mass erosion of the long rod are presented. The effects of velocity decay and rod erosion on the loss of the kinetic energy of the long rod are discussed. In particular, aimed to the truth of quasi-static tail velocity of the long rod in the interface defeat, the simplified and explicit analytical expressions are formulated to describe the variation of the dominated parameters such as the velocity and the mass of the rod with time. It is convenient for engineering applications.
