Study on multi-wavelength laser with dual-core all-solid photonic band gap fiber ring cavity

摘要

In this paper the multi-wavelength laser with dual-core all-solid photonic band gap fiber ring structure and the frequency-selective principles are introduced. Then by using the plane-wave expansion method and the full-vector finite element method, the numerical simulation of the relationship between the effective refractive index n(eff) of dual-core all-solid photonic band gap fiber and the wavelength is done. And calculate the relationship between dual-core all-solid photonic band gap fiber coupling length and wavelength. According to the length of dual-core all-solid photonic bandgap fiber and the gain spectra of erbium-doped fiber, in the 1 530 nm band, there should be stable laser output theoretically. Finally experimental study is done. In the vicinity of 1 530 nm, there is multi-wavelength output. The experimental results agree with the theoretical analysis.
