Study on finite element analysis techniques of crankshaft gears in high speed and heavy duty diesel engine

摘要

According to the structural and carrying feature of crankshaft gears in high speed and heavy duty diesel engine, the modeling method, which is used to create the interference fit finite element model and gear pair's engagement finite element model of three dimensions, is detailedly described. On the basis of the models, the relations that are between assembled initial stress, transfer torque and gears inner diameter, magnitude of interference in the crankshaft gear's interference calculation, and the impacts of static-dynamic loads and different impulse width on the structural strength in the gears' dynamical engagement, are theoretically analyzed, and also compared and calculated by using the contact finite element. The conclusions are available for design and improvement of similar helical-gears.
