STUDY ON CONSTITUTIVE MODELS AND FAILURE MODELS IN NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF NATURAL FRAGMENTATION WARHEADS

摘要

The constitutive model and failure model of shell steels determine the accuracy of numerical simulation of natural fragmentation warhead. The purpose of this study is to obtain the constitutive model and failure model. In this paper, three kinds of new shell steels (40SiMnX, 40SiMn2X, 40SiMn3X) are taken as research objects. The quasi-static tension test and Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) test were conducted to obtain the mechanical parameters of these new shell steels. The constitutive model and failure model were fitted according to these data. AUTODYN software was used to simulate the fragmentation of cylindrical warheads made of these three shell steels. In order to verify the reliability of constitutive model and failure model, static explosion tests were carried out. The results show that by obtaining the constitutive model and failure model, the fragmentation of warheads made of these new shell steels can be simulated well.
