摘要

Blended Blade and End Wall (BBEW) technique is original and has a potential to support fan/compressor load maximization. One subsonic compressor cascade with large turning angle and one supersonic compressor cascade, corresponding to compressor elements towards load limit, are selected. And guided by the Rules of Dihedral, type I (increasing dihedral) and II (variable curvature transition surface) BBEW modifications are applied to these cascades, studied numerically and compared. The results show that all the BBEW applications are capable of weakening corner separation, and present positive effects on different operating conditions. In addition, although the shape of type I BBEW modification is familiar with blade lean, but the mechanism is different, the effect of intersection of two boundary layers exceeds that of blade force.
