abstract = "Different stator materials correspond to different design requirements, and improving the material utilization ratio has always been a difficult design problem. In this paper, taking the core material as the entry point, different stator materials are applied to the same permanent magnet starter generator (PMSG), and the application characteristics of different materials are deeply analyzed. The PMSGs with different materials are optimized respectively to maximize the starting torque. The finite element results verify the effectiveness of the combination of PSO global optimization and step-by-step depth optimization. Meanwhile, the whole optimization process reflects the influence of stator materials on parameter sensitivity and relative relationship between efficiency and starting torque.",
