摘要

Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) is novel imaging modality which outperforms other imaging techniques with high spatial and temporal resolution. It detects the distribution of the superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs). In this study, the basic principle of MPI is first introduced. Then, the mathematical model of MPI is discussed, including the compound magnetic field, the model of particles, signal encoding and reconstruction in frequency domain. At last, the research of one-dimensional MPI simulation is carried out. The reconstruction is conducted by the conjugate gradient method based on the system matrix, which represents the relationship between the induced voltage signal at the receiving end and the spatial distribution of SPIONs. Three factors on reconstruction performance are also discussed: the particle size, the sample concentration and the code spacing on the reconstruction accuracy. The normalized root-mean-square error is used to represent the difference between the preset distribution and the reconstructed distribution of the particles.
