In order to keep strong structure and nice sealing property of refuge chamber door during its life cycle, a basic structure of the door was designed and its finite element models were established, with 10, 20, 25mm, three kinds of thickness, respectively for numerical simulation. Finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA was taken in the numerical simulation part. Deformation and the sealing performance of the door under a triangle explosion shock wave with maximum value for 0.6MPa and 300ms duration was calculated. The maximum stress value appears in the connection position between the door plank and reinforced stiffeners. The maximum displacement value appears in the middle of the door plank. Stiffeners have significant effect on the maximum displacement. The door with 20mm thickness could fulfill the requirements of structure safety and nice sealing property. Based on analysis, suggestions were put forward for further improving.
