Simulation Analysis and Design for 3D Electric Field Sensor Calibration System

摘要

The three-dimensional (3D) electric field sensor (EFS) is necessary for spatial-electric field environment perception and high-electric field warning indication for high-voltage equipment. In this paper, we concentrate on a simulation design for a high-accuracy 3D EFS calibration system. Based on the electrostatic theory and conformal mapping, the designed calibrator system comprises a two parallel-plate electrodes and multiple voltage dividing rings to generate a sufficiently large uniform EF. Using finite element analysis (FEA), the influence of key structural factors such as surface roughness, support rod and cut hole were simulated and fully analyzed for designing high-accuracy 3D EFS calibration system.
