摘要
Tests with split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) were conducted for cover layer on a new chiral periodic structure. Through tests and numerical simulation, the cover layer's shock-resistant performance was studied, its energy absorption performance and deformation features were analyzed. It was shown that the core of the new chiral periodic structure is forced to vibrate in the structure due to its own inertia effect under the action of shock; the cover layer on the new chiral periodic structure has a good shock-resistant performance, the cover layer and the embedded core can absorb the shock energy through their own deformations and movements; the finite element software ABAQUS can be used to simulate SHPB tests and evaluate shock-resistant performances of various chiral periodic structures; structural sizes and material parameters are optimized through numerical simulation to get chiral periodic structures with better shock-resistant performances.
