N2 - Geosynchronous Earth Orbit Synthetic Aperture Radar (GEO SAR) is a radar satellite running in inclinational geosynchronous orbit. As altitude is quite high, there are apparent differences between GEO SAR and Low Earth Orbit SAR (LEO SAR). In this paper several special issues of GEO SAR are analysed including: synthetic aperture time requirement, crab problem in GEO SAR and range-azimuth coupling in 2-Dimensional frequency domain. As these issues closely relate with imaging processing, their research is basis for GEO SAR system and has great significance. Through comparing with LEO SAR, specialty of GEO SAR is revealed and imaging processing will be much more complicated.
