N2 - In order to develop an intelligent Case-based Reasoning system and meet the need of knowledge reuse of fixture design process, ontology technology is integrated in CBR system, Fixture design domain ontology is constructed, and concepts and relations are defined and represented. Semantic annotation of fixture design case is achieved. The similarity estimation approach is presented to resolve the problem of semantic retrieval of fixture design case. Finally, prototype system based on proposed method is introduced and the information retrieval approach is proved efficiently.
