SDIE for Analysis of Electromagnetic Scattering of Dielectric Coated PEC Objects

摘要

The homogeneous dielectric coated PEC object is one of the most important targets in numerical analysis and electromagnetic (EM) simulation modeling. The investigation of the EM scattering characteristics of these objects provides a reliable and stable foundation for future research in the scattering analysis of more complicated dielectric coated objects. The EM scattering properties of coated objects were investigated in this paper. The self-dual surface integral equation (SDIE) was used, which is a linear combination of the scaled impedance boundary condition (IBC) and surface integral equations (SIEs). The equivalent surface electric and magnetic currents were both regarded as unknown quantities. According to numerical results, the proposed equations achieve high accuracy and produce a well-conditioned system matrix that is less affected by surface impedance.
