N2 - The rotor stress research is one of the hot issues in the field of high-speed permanent magnet motor. In this paper, the rotor stress of high-speed permanent magnet brushless direct current (BLDC) motor is studied. Firstly, the theoretical analysis of rotor stress is given. Secondly, the influences of interference fit, temperature and speed on the stress of different parts of rotor are studied by finite element method. Finally, the rotor strength of stator slotless motor is calculated under rated working conditions.
