Resistant force and deformation analysis of the projectile based on simulation results

摘要

In order to analyze the deformation, movement and force activated on different positions of the projectile, the numerical simulations of long-rod energetic projectiles non-normal penetrating into concrete target are performed. The finite element model for the projectile is divided into eight parts along the projectile axis. The resistant force, movement trajectory and deformation on different positions of the projectile at different times are obtained based on the simulation results. It is found that the long rod energetic projectile will create plastic yield. In the earlier time of the penetrating process, the center of the projectile is concave-down, and in the later stage it becomes convex. It is the transverse resistant force on the head of the projectile which mainly causes the deformation and movement of the projectile.
