Research on the Location Planning of a Dry Port Based on Fuzzy C-Means Clustering

摘要

Dry ports play a key role in international container transportation, and the location planning of dry ports is a critical problem in the whole container transportation network. It can make the logistics supply chain operate better, give full play to the advantages of multimodal transport, and promote the economic development of surrounding areas. In this paper, the location planning model of dry ports is constructed by using fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm. 34 inland hinterland areas of Dalian Port are clustered and divided into four categories to find cities suitable for establishing dry ports. By comparing the calculation results with the existing development and layout of dry ports, the applicability and correctness of applying the fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm to the location planning of dry ports are verified.
