Research on the Flow Field Characteristics of Lateral Impulse Gas Jets in Deep Water Cross-flow

摘要

Lateral impulse gas jet technology is an important way to achieve high-efficiency control of the attitude and ballistics of the vehicle in the complex fluid environment of deep water. By using the VOF multiphase flow model, the gas jets evolution laws and flow field pulsation characteristics of the micro impulse solid rocket motor under the action of deep water crossflow are studied, and the influences of incoming flow velocity on the structure of flow field and forced characteristics of vehicle are analyzed. The results show that in the process of jet development, there are intermittent bulging-necking phenomena and violent turbulent gasliquid mixing at the gas-liquid interface. The gas bubble at the top of the jet is greatly affected by the cross-flow and has an obvious shift, while the initial momentum section is less affected, which results in obvious bending of the jet axis and flag-shaped development of the overall shape. The pressure of the jet flow field and the wall surface has the characteristic of continuous high-frequency low-amplitude oscillation, accompanied by intermittent lowfrequency high-amplitude oscillation. Due to the uneven bulging-necking, the pressure on the downstream side wall is higher and the oscillation amplitude is larger. The difference in pressure distribution increases with the increase of the cross-flow velocity, which will produce additional disturbance load on the submerged body in addition to the jet control force.
