Research on the expansion initial velocity of cylindrical case with eccentric initiation

摘要

The theory of solid material being obliquely impacted by detonation wave is used to calculate the initial pressure on the internal surface of the case. The theory of equal entropy process enables to calculate the pressure on the internal surface of the case. According to the theoretical analysis, the expansion velocity of a typical cylindrical case is calculated. The calculated results are in good agreement with the simulated results, and the calculation error is less than 5%. The results show that the pressure-impulse theory could be sued to estimate the expansion velocity of cylindrical case initiated by single eccentric detonator properly.
