N2 - In order to enhance the fuze antenna beamforming speed, QR decomposition to sample matrix inversion (SMI) beamforming algorithm is done in this paper. Through converting the matrix invert operation to triangle linear equation avoiding the time-consuming matrix invert operation. Then, the performance of this algorithm is simulated. The effect of the sampling point number and the load value to the performance of this algorithm are researched and the simulation result shows that with the increasing of the sampling point number, the characteristics of the main beam and the sidelobe is becoming better, and the load value can also improve the algorithm's performance, but the suppression to weak interference will reduce. At last, The SMI beamforming algorithm is implemented in high speed digital signal processor (DSP). The test result shows that through QR decomposing to the SMI beamforming algorithm, the operation speed in DSP is greatly enhanced.
