Research on quick cost estimation of product in mass customization based on CBR and WN

Based on analyses of product architecture management and the constitution of manufacturing cost in mass customization, new tactics and method were proposed for cost estimation of custom-made product. Then a model for cost estimation based on case-based reasoning and wavelet network was constructed. The model was based on the whole selected the most similar cases from the case database and a wavelet network was used to estimate the custom-made parts. Subsequently a final cost was modified according to accumulating adjusting formula. At last, a case was studied on a corporation.
