Research on general design of lubricating grease database

The design idea of lubricating grease database is presented. All kinds of databases are investigated and fallen into three levels, which are called low level, medium level and high level due to their functions and structures. It is considered that the high level database should have function of applying as well as inquiting. The lubricating grease database is developed by the model of high level database which includes seven functions of selecting, substituting,trouble diagnosing and failure analysing, studying, designing and calculating and maintaining. The information concerning lubricating grease can be obtained by the nine inquiring methods.
