摘要
Aim: After analyzing the functionality and functional structure of mechanical product, the structure and composition of function model was proposed. Methods: Representing by functional units and functional features, the function tree and function network were established. Results: The structure and properties of function model as well as the definition and representation of functional feature were discussed. The function model of an example product was given in the end. Conclusion: By function model, the functionality and functional relationship of product are clearly defined, and the design intends and design knowledge can be expressed.
