摘要

The use of wood in buildings dates back millennia. Although Modern wood structure house is popularized in many developed countries, such as Europe, America and Japan, it still develops slowly in China. By researching the status of resources and environment in China, it is concluded that there are three areas suitable for the development of modern wood residential structure: resource endowment area, environmental restriction area and regional characteristic area. In these areas, prioritizing the development of modern wood structure will help reduce construction costs and contribute to energy saving, thus it enjoys a wide and bright prospect.
