摘要
The properties of zirconia solid solution powders were characterized with a series of ZrO2-TiO2-Y2O2 nanosized powders synthesized by chemical co-precipitation. XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) showed that powders were tetragonal solid solutions. The average particle size was 10-25 nm as determined by TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) and BET specific surface area measurements. With increasing TiO2 content, the lattice parameter a decreased while c increased and as a result c/a increased. The molar fraction x of TiO2 in t-ZrO2 was up to 40%. because of the surface effect in the nanosized powders. The ZrTiO2 phase was observed in the ceramic materials after sintering for a solid solution x (TiO2) content of 20%.
