摘要
The aluminide coatings were synthesized by mechanical attrition-enhanced pack cementation. A compact and uniform aluminide coating with thickness of 30 μm formed after processing at 600°C for 150 min. The elements of Al and Ti are uniformly distributed in the coating. XRD analysis indicates that the phase of the aluminide coating is Al3Ti. After oxidation at 900°C for 300 h, a continuous Al2O3 scale formed on the surface of the aluminide coating, revealing the good oxidation and spallation resistance. In contrast, a multilayered oxide scale is observed on the surface of the blank TiAl specimen, and the oxide scale is mainly composed of Al2O3 and TiO2, reflecting the relatively poor high-temperature properties.
