N2 - Integrated energy system (IES) can improve the efficiency of energy usage and economic benefit of energy system. However, for IES, it is difficult to establish standardized evaluation system because of its unclear boundary of concept, interaction of multi-subject, coupling of heterogeneous energy. Combined with the development process of IES and national projects, this paper selected four typical energy systems: combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system, multi-energy system (MES), microgrid with renewable energy (MRE) and energy internet (EI). Their definitions, characteristics and technological boundaries were illustrated. Then, comprehensive evaluation method and general evaluation index system were summarized. Common and unique characteristics were listed in evaluation index system. Finally, 20 common indices of IES were put forward from three dimensions of energy utilization, environmental friendliness and social economy. Simultaneously, 25 unique indices were analyzed. Results showed that the most studies of CCHP system focused on the user side, and MES focused on the supply side. While the research scope of MRE and EI was the interconnection between energy subsystems. The degree of cooling, heat and electricity interconnection indices, energy quality indices, source-load matching indices and energy system interconnection indices were mostly used for CCHP system, MES, MRE and EI evaluation, respectively.
