abstract = "The 1319 nm laser is widely used in sodium beacon, optical communication and laser medical fields, and also a potential pump source for 4.3 μm output. In this work, we reported a laser diode partially end-pumped Nd:YAG slab laser operation at 1319 nm. A stable plano-concave cavity was adopted. The maximum continuous output power of 24.33 W was obtained for the absorbed pump power of 222 W, exhibiting an optical conversion efficiency of 10.96% and a slope efficiency of 23.06%. The beam quality was measured to be M2 = 1.19 in the vertical direction.",
