Optimal receive polarization based on the pol-ellipse parameters

摘要

For optimal polarization receiving in the presence of signal and noise, a new SINR (signal-interference-and-Noise-ratio) equation is derived from two triangles in polarization sphere based on the pol-ellipse parameters. In addition, the local optimal solutions of SINR on the great circle tracks and the circle tracks are obtained, and the comparison between the local optimal solutions, the global optimal solutions and the matched polarization is given. Experiments results show that the local optimal solutions can improve the SINR in the interference case, and by adjusting the pol-ellipse parameters on the tracks, the global optimal SINR can be achieved, which can make the receiving power of signal maximize.
